We changed our location today. Byebye Oasaka, hello Nagoya! During out trainride Nino was watching over us from behind! Yeah that boy will never leave us alone during this vacation I think XD
We found our hotel in Nagoya really fast, only 3 minutes away from Nagoya station and put our luggage there. As we couldn’t check in beforre 3pm we decided to go to Nagoya Dome at first to get our last batch of con goods (or better say the Nagoya hair gum. I had hoped it was red… but turned out this time it is green. So red should be available in Fukuoka)
We hadn’t as much luck as in Osaka. There was a looooooooooooong queue all around the Dome. So the next hour or so we did happy queuing. Luckily we had our 3DS with us so we had some entertainment. But it got so damn cold as the sun vanished. Really freezing. So we were kinda happy when we finally got into the booths area and finished buying kinda fast.
After shopping we rushed inside the shopping center which is right around the corner of the Dome. To warm ourselves up and get something to eat.
We found yummy negi gyudon! <3 I also got a strawberry matcha icecream crepe but didn’t take a picture.
While doing a little bit of shopping we found Jun! There were lots of lots of lots of Jun posters there XD
Also a Mukai poster!
and now we are relaxing at the hotel with Arashi goodies to get into the Arashi mood for tomorrows Arashi matsuri!! *yeeeahhhh* Finally concert time! Getting excited!!! <3
this time we had more luck. The weather was fine, although it was cooooold~~~. But no snow, yes!!! XD
So we could enjoy sightseeing. Here some of my pics:
A Miko crossing our way~.
I love the vending machines!! Esp. when there is one of our beloved Johnny boys on it. Okada~~!!
We got ourselve soemthing nice to eat in Nara. This time I had Hayashi souce Omurice. <3
Afterwards we headed back to Osaka to take pictures of Osaka castle.
Our last stop of today was the Johnny’s shop. Finally all Arashi fangirls went back home XDD So it was kind of empty inside and we could shop without waiting long. I got myself “some” photos and also the cute Johnny’s planner.
Also I was lucky~~~. When buying something to drink at seveneleven I found the Kaibutsu clearfile behind all the AKB stuff that was on sale. The clearfile was also 50% off!! *____* Of course I had to buy it… cannot leave Ohchan with AKB. XDDD
So this was our last day in Osaka. Tomorrow we will take the Shinkansen to Nagoya~. Let’s see if we can already go to the con goods booth to get the hairgum or not. Wish us luck ^.~
Or a better title for todays post: Kyoto hates me! >___________________<
We decided to flee out of Osaka because of the Arashi concert and go to Kyoto instead. Our plan was to visit Ohoku filming locations, temples and restaurants from Arashi ni Shiyagare originally … but it shouldn’t work out like this. ;_;
Everything started well, when we arrived in Arashiyama~! The weather was nice (except for some few snow flakes falling from the sky but those stopped soon)
I reallyy love Arashiyama and not just because of the name. The atmosphere there is something special in my opinion. Everything looks so Japanese (XD) love the montains and the old buildings and just everything there.
Next we went to a temple near the bridge but there were so many no cameras signs that I didn’t take pictures from the inside.
Right around the corner is the bamboo forrest. Really awesome to walk there! Too bad that the illumination was already over. Must have looked beautiful when everything is shiny there. Btw. that was also a recommendation from Sasaki Kuranosuke who was guest in Arashi ni Shiyagare. ^.~
Back at Kyoto station the misfortune should begin ;_;
Our way lead us to gion where the restaurants from Arashi ni Shiyagare are situated…. they sky got darker, the temperature colder and then it started to snow slightly. We took the bus to gion but it was still a kinda loooooong way to gion…
I knew that the Oyakodon restaurant was still closed so we went directly to the one selling the negi udon… just to see a “Closed for the New Year holiday” sign on it. <.< Ok ok… nevermind there is still the one with the yummy matcha fondue…
So we took some pictures of the Gion scenery when…
The HEAVY SNOWFALL BEGAN!!!! <.< It was freezing… snowing so badly…. our cloths got wet within a few minutes… so… that was it with our Kyoto sightseeing tour. ;_;
We rushed into the first restaurant that we found and ordered a Oyakodon set. It was yummy although it was not the one that Kuranosuke recommended. We sat there and ate and looked out of the window but the snow just didn’t want to stop. So we decided to just go back to Osaka as this is just no weather to do sightseeing without snow clothing. ;_; It was really frustrating as I had hoped it would be different. But cannot be helped ne… if the weather is like that better not stay out so much…. there is still our Arashi con on the 7th so we need to be healthy!! I really hope we didn’t catch a cold >.< Our cloths were really really wet and cold.
So we headed back to Osaka… where I found some more illuminations XD And although we were cold before we ate icecream XD
And even our hotel has some illumination XDDD thas is on our floor right around the corner XDDD
This day started way too early for us. XD We were so damn tired when the alarm clock began to ring. But we had to get ourselve out of bed as the Shinkansen wouldn’t wait for us. So we moved our stuff outside our room, but left it at the house. Cause we are now on our 7 days sightseeing tour through Osaka, Kyoto, Nara and Nagoya.
Btw. I love to ride the shinkansen. It’s always a pleasent ride~.
On our way we saw lot of different scenarios. Fuji-san greeted us:
And snow was also to be seen outside. >___<
After arriving in Osaka, our way lead us to our hotel first. It was really hard to get used to the Osaka train system again. Totally forgot how it all works. XD Not as easy as in Tokyo. XD
After checking into our hotel our first stop was of course: Kyocera Dome!!! Arashi con goods shopping!!! (Although I have to say that I already got most of the stuff from my Japanese friend so almost everything I got there was for my German fangirls.) We were kinda lucky… first it looked like a very long queue again, but it wasn’t at all. It took us only around 20 minutes to get all our goods.Really fast~~! But it was a strange feeling to be there but not to be able to go inside ;_; And all the poor fans outside begging for a ticket. But our chance is coming soon!! Nagoya~~~!! 3 more days~!
After our big Arashi shopping tour we rushed back home as it was really strange to be infront of the dome…. we strolled around our hotel which is really near to Dotonburi Dori. Really lucky us as it is right in the center of it all XD Here some pics:
Btw. the Arashi bar is also right around the corner~~! We didn’t go in as last time I went there in 2009 the shop owner told me it is always full during con times and you would need a reservation. Let’s see if we find the time to go now that the cons are over.
More pics of Dotonburi Dori:
We also went to the official Johnny’s shop… but as expected it was packed! It was already late but the girls still queued infront of it.. so we decided to go back when the cons are over. Hopefully tomorrow we will have more luck *prays*
We then rushed into a Okonomiyaki restaurant as we had not much time left before VS Arashi started. We ordered one okonomiyaki for us both and it was reeeeeeeeeeeeally oishii!!! We should go there again XDDD Yummi yummi.
I was also lucky with the ufo catcher before we went eating! I got a DUFFY bear!!! *___________* The guy that worked there was really nice and helped me to get it. He placed it so that it was really easy for me to get it. ^.^~
And lastly our shopping spread!! Wuhuuuuhuuuu… lots and lots of con goods~~~!!
Sorry have not so much time to post much so this time there will be more photos.
We had a lazy day yesterday. Started it with sleeping long and then visiting the temple in our neighborhood as it was still New Years greetings there.
Did some shopping in Ikebukuro again. Everyone was still after the Fukubukuros (Happy bags) You get a bag full of stuff for cheap, etc. a complete outfit.
Next stop was Ueno. There was a marching band at the entrance.
But our main goal was this museum! Arashi fans should know it from GANTZ. Yes another filming location of the movie! It’s were they fought against the buddhas.
They also had some New Year entertainment at the entrance.
And our oishiiii lunch: Curry Udon with Kani tempura <3<3<3
Next will be my report of the first day Osaka. ^.^ But I’m in the middle of VS Arashi so will take some time.
